Zohreh Ravanpak
My research lies in geometric mechanics, with a focus on Poisson geometry and its interaction with structures such as (quasi-)Nijenhuis, (pseudo-)Riemannian, Lie group and graded differential structures. These studies have applications in bi-Hamiltonian systems, integrable deformations, dissipative dynamics, and optimization. I also work on the geometric foundations of classical mechanics and time-discretized, structure-preserving variational integrators, including generalizations to loopoids.
